My Favorite Cake Donut in the State

Okay, just us? Bestie, the best cake donut in the state is at the Brainerd Senior Center and I am SO dead serious. You can only get them on Thursdays and they sell out fast.

To get there, just follow the hoards of locals into The Center, as locals affectionately call it, or you can just follow the smell of donuts.

You’re going to go into the main entrance, not the Friendship Dining Hall. If you’re confused, just wait for someone else to go in. They’ll come soon enough. As soon as you get into that entrance, take a left. You might be asking me, “Kirstie, why are you sending me into a dark entryway?” And the answer is that beyond that dark entryway is a sliver of light that leads you to the donuts.

Walk in and you’ll see trays upon trays of donuts. The blueberry donut is out of this world. The plain donut is worth writing home about. The maple frosting is a surprising stunner. The classic cinnamon sugar is to diiiiie for. Read the full article HERE.
