The Center offers its members 50+ activities and reasons to connect every week. Even if you are an introvert, stop by to shoot a game of pool, learn how to play mahjong, or listen to live music on Thursdays. Wednesday, July 1 is County Coffee Talk!

Join us in the Great Room from 9:30–10:15 a.m. to learn more about the county we call home. This month, representatives from the County Attorney’s Office will be here to share about their role in our community and answer your questions.

Our Watercolor/Drawing Class has moved their day and time!

Starting July 1, Daria Blanton’s painting class will be every Wednesday, from 11:00 -1:00 pm, in our Craft Room. She will be teaching watercolor painting and the basics
of drawing skills. Students are responsible for their own materials, and a supply list will be provided. The classes are drop-in because we all have busy schedules. The cost per class is $10 paid to the instructor.

Second Monday Dinner on July 13th from 5:00-6:00 pm

Members and nonmembers are invited for an evening of delicious food and a great presentation from author and Minnesota historian, Julie Jo Larson. Julie Jo will be sharing unique, iconic, and quirky places in our home state that are worth a visit. Tickets are available at our front desk and the deadline to purchase is July 10th at 4:00 pm.

Brats on the Grill!

Every Friday in July (except July 3rd) we will have brats on the grill from 11:30 to 1:00 pm! A brat in a bun with chips is an affordable $6.00. All proceeds go to The Center’s operating fund.

We are taking Lunch and Learn “On the Road” in July!

Lunch and Learn on the Road – CWC edition- A July Lunch & Learn Field Trip!

On July 24^th, we will be offering our Lunch and Learn attendees the opportunity to not only learn more about the history of community, but also the 911 System of Crow Wing County! This Lunch and Learn begins at 10 am at the Crow Wing County Historical Museum. Attendees will meet there and spend time touring the museum. At around 11:30, our group will then walk next door to the Sheriff’s Department for a tour of the 911 Dispatch Center. We will end our field trip with a picnic in the pavilion behind the veterans’ memorial next to the courthouse. Tickets are $5 per person, and all proceeds will go to the Crow Wing County Historical Museum. Wear good walking shoes, dress for the weather, and pack your own bag lunch. Limit 35 participants.
