Here are some of the Active Aging events, classes, and gatherings for March.

Have you been feeling stressed, unsettled, or anxious?

Join us Friday, March 6, 2026, at 12:00 pm for a free one-hour session with Bryn Lowrie Yahn to learn ways to release stress and feel calmer. She will use a combination of breathwork, meditation, gentle movement, and Emotional Freedom Techniques-Tapping to reset your nervous system. This class is free thanks to generous grant funding from the Initiative Foundation. Max: 20 participants. Call our front desk to secure your spot.

A Special Lunch and Learn at The Center

The Sons of Norway will be on hand to share the history of the organization and talk more about preserving and enjoying Scandinavian heritage and culture during our March 27, 2026, Lunch and Learn at The Center.

This engaging presentation will offer a closer look at Norwegian traditions, the mission of Sons of Norway, and the many ways people can connect with and celebrate Scandinavian culture in our community. Whether you have Norwegian roots or are simply curious to learn more, this is a wonderful opportunity to explore a rich cultural heritage while enjoying great company. Let’s Play! WonderTrek Children’s Museum!

Join us for a very special event on March 28th from 10:00 to 12:00 pm at The Center!

Wondertrek Children’s Let’s Play! Event is a chance for grandkids and grandparents to explore, laugh, and make memories. The theme of Bridging Generations, Building Connections, is the mission of both Wondertrek and The Brainerd Center.

This non-profit is developing a children’s museum that serves several counties in greater Minnesota. Their mission: to spark curiosity, joy, and learning through play by offering interactive exhibits, hands-on programs, and creative events for kids and families. Learn more about this unique initiative and their permanent campus, and their new large outdoor + indoor play & learning space for families set to open in 2026.

The Center and WonderTrek encourage families of all ages to stop by and watch kids play “their way” and spend quality time learning, growing, and making memories. This event is free for everyone, but space is limited. Call our front desk before March 25 to secure your spot.
