Happy New Year!

Is 2026 going to be the year you try new things and meet new people? The Center offers its members 50+ activities and reasons to connect every week. Even if you are an introvert, stop by to shoot a game of pool, rent some snowshoes, or listen to live music on Thursdays. Our full calendar of monthly events and classes can be found HERE.

Here are a few more highlights and fun things going on in January:

2nd Monday Dinner

On January 12, members and non-members alike are invited to enjoy an evening that includes a fine-dining style meal and musical entertainment from jazz pianist Greg Past. Cost is $10 per person. We will be serving around 5:00, so stop by to purchase your ticket and reserve your spot before 1/9/26.

Lunch & Learn

Our monthly Lunch & Learns are a great way to meet new people and discover new recreations, organizations, local businesses, and new things to try. Wondertrek Children’s Museum is our January 23rd Lunch & Learn presenter, about their mission of encouraging playful exploration and interactive learning at their outdoor play campus. The cost to attend is FREE and includes a light lunch. Tickets and sign-ups are available at our front desk.

AARP Smart Drivers

January 27th from 8:00 am to noon is one of many chances for members and non-members to freshen up their driving skills will long-time AARP instructor Russ Hollard. Call our front desk (218-829-9345) for cost and get secure your spot on the list for the 27th. Smart Drivers will also be offered February 12th and 24th, 2026.

A Special Presentation

On January 30th from 1:00 to 3:00, former teacher Laurie Wig will be sharing One Soldier’s Story in our Great Room. This special talk and presentation is free and open to the public.
